Price Watching Made Easy

The Camelizer is a plug-in app for Google, Safari and Mozilla Firefox which allows you to look at historic prices of virtually any product or services. Thinking of buying something soon? With the Camelizer you can see whether to do so right away or wait for the price to drop.

Market-beating technology

Essentially, the Camelizer is designed for online stores. So long as the internet retailer is supported by the plug-in, a toolbar will appear on your screen when you view a particular product. From here, it is just a click to be able to view the price history charts Camel produce without the difficulty of having to visit a third-party site. This means being able to make rapid and well-informed buying decisions without leaving a retailer's product page. The app works with the majority of Amazon's international sites (US, UK, DE, FR, CA, CN, IT, ES and JP). With it, you get convenient access to the complete buying history data already collected for you at Camel's site.

Pricing up

Although this app does a similar job to other ones, the Camelizer is the only one which accesses the specific data at Camel's website. Furthermore, it is easy to use with a single icon being placed on the address bar for you to click on when you want to look at pricing history.

I love shopping online, and if you do too, you're going to like The Camelizer. I know, it's a bizarre name, but don't worry - it doesn't have anything to do with camels, unless you want to buy one. If you're a frequent visitor to sites like Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, or Newegg.com, this Firefox add-on will allow you to follow the price trends of your favourite products, so you can check if there is a pattern and strike while the price is low.

Without any configuration options and just a little vertical tab on the left of the screen, The Camelizer is very discreet. The tab appears when you are on a product page of a supported website. When you click, you'll see you'll see a graph of the product's price variations over the last few months. You can also share the information using a plain link, on Twitter or via a variety of other services. The Camelizer's layout changes slightly depending on the retailer you are viewing, but the basic information is the same on all pages.

Clicking on The Camelizer's information will take you to a new tab that displays more details. From here you can isolate certain price patterns, search The Camelizer's website for similar products/manufacturers/categories, track the product (after you fill in a short form) or get an RSS feed of price changes. The Camelizer asks you to read a privacy policy before you install - here they disclose a minor commercial relationship they have with Amazon. This might make some users uncomfortable, but I applaud the forthright approach.

If you're a frequent shopper on the sites supported by The Camelizer, it's a great way of keeping your costs to a minimum.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
